Here’s how the process works:
1. Order the Amazon Kindle edition now.
2. Send your manuscript to editor@empire-publishing.com Our Editorial Department will contact you via email to obtain the information necessary to submit your book to Amazon. You will be requested to provide a cover image. If you do not have a cover, you will have a basic cover designed or see our Services for book cover design.
3. Our editors will mechanically format your manuscript to meet the Kindle guidelines and requirements. We will even set up an Amazon account for you if you don’t already have one. All you will need to do is enter the information of where and how you want to receive your royalty payments. We supply you with a detailed step-by-step on how to monitor your monthly sales, launch limited time promotional campaigns, and change your settings. Average turnaround time is 2-4 weeks. You keep 100% of your royalties after Amazon takes their commission, Empire Publishing takes 0%.
Important pricing information:
If you price your Kindle edition between $2.99 and $9.99 Amazon pays you 70% of your Kindle sales. Amazon’s commission is 20%. If you set a price outside of that range, Amazon only pays you 35% of your Kindle sales. It may not seem like much, but authors are making hundreds to thousands of dollars a month by setting a low Kindle price between $2.99 and $4.99 per book.
